Self-description

  • I define the « fabrics sensibility » as a tranverse medium in the various fields of arts-applied. Its most famous application is fashion. But colours and materials are used in product design, interior design, accessories, patterns, graphics, or photography, to improve projects. This part of design gives an additional point of view which can make the difference between 2 projects.

The textile designer, as the source of new innovative textile and products, anticipates and reflects the imprint of a given age. He or she drives demand for aesthetic designs, spurs the development of techniques and infuses spirit into materials. The textile designer plays a role in materials, colours, patterns, structures and forms until the completion of the finished product, basing her collections on given markets, techniques, applications and used.

The designer brings to the daily environment a sense of direction, an aesthetic and cultural dimension as well as economic value.

"The link between products design and fashion design is the textiles. They are dedicated to food each others. "

"The harmony of colors and materials is a specific skill, practiced in fashion. Produce beautiful is sometimes something missing in products design."

Gérard LAIZE, president of VIA, June 13 at IFM during the Paris Designers Days.

Having already made thoses observations, after my fashion employee experiences, I started my freelance project in January 2009. In order to diversify my action and to offer a sensitive approach differents design fileds, which allways need a colours, materials and sensitivity reflexion.
