inSync design

Ms. Iris Saar Isaacs
Based in Melbourne Australia, inSync design is an award-winning studio led by designer and maker Iris Saar Isaacs.
InSync design’s distinct contemporary jewellery is synonymous with clever resolution and high-quality construction that combines industrial materials and applications with traditional handcraft techniques.
The studio gained its initial reputation and recognition for the whimsical ‘hand drawn’ brooches, bangles, earrings and necklaces and was awarded the FACES OF DESIGN AWARD 2010.
In 2011 inSync launched its innovative PEBBLE range of necklaces and earrings made of anodized aluminium, neoprene rubber and sterling silver.
The modular necklace incorporates anodized aluminium ‘stones’ with neoprene rubber lariat. The pebbles are carved out of a solid block, with a channel running along its outer diameter, allowing the rubber to embed perfectly into the metal and create a seamless fusion of colour and texture.
The earrings feature a flat plane that is framed by a silver contour. Created in four colours and four organic shapes, they are designed to form various pairs based on either shape or colour; making them interchangeable and unique.
The designs were recently recognized by the prestigious AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD; selected for the CONTEMPORARY WEARABLES, TOOWOOMBA, showcasing Australia’s best contemporary jewellers; a finalist in the MELBOURNE DESIGN AWARD and were included in YEARBOOK 2011, Barcelona, Spain.
