Trillium Scarf

Trillium Scarf - three-dimensional textile constructed of 150 interlocking felt trillium flowers. Part of the Souvenir Shop collection - Motherbrand.

The white Trillium has been Ontario’s provincial flower since 1937. It symbolizes peace, hope and opportunity for all. The future of this beautiful flower is of great concern as Trilliums take over 15 years to mature and can easily die if picked. This concept preserves and promotes it as a souvenir: The Trillium Scarf.

Mauricio's Trillium Scarf has earned a place in the "Beaver Tales: Canadian Art and Design" exhibition curated by Rachel Gotlieb and Martha Kelleher at the University of Toronto Art Centre. [September 16-December 6, 2008]
