The project “Not just salmon and sausages – One hundred years of
German-Norwegian encounters”, initiated by the Norwegian and German Foreign Ministries, was the largest bilateral project to be launched on the occasion of the centenary of Norwegian independence in 2005. The project, consisting of a 1200 m² touring exhibition as well as a corporate 350-page book in both languages, reveals the common history of both countries with all of their links, developments and rifts. Naroska Design has been commissioned to develop the project’s corporate graphic design. The book is since being accounted as a benchmark for the common history of Germany and Norway. The exhibition, comprising over 700 exhibits, has been shown in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Berlin, Essen, Leipzig and Rostock.
