Glow Fish

Submarine

„Submarine“ is my new collection of porcelain I developed at the Vitra Design Museum
Workshop „Go Baroque, Go Porcelaine!“. Handcrafted unique pieces provide a
„shining“ underwater world with fish and shells to human living spaces. The workshop
teachers Christian Couty und Dominique Thebault are profesors at the National School of Arts (ENSA) in Limoges, France where porcelaine manufacturing has a long tradition.
Companies such as “Royal Limoges’’, “Bernardaud Manufacture de Limoges’’ and
“Porcellain J.Seignolles’’ represent a center for porcelain production. The specialty here is the high burning temperature of the material which gives it a glassy attribute. This lucency inspired me to create these lighting objects.
