Table Decoration - "The Gardener"

The German porcelain manufacturer KPM (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) and the Berlin University of Arts UdK (Universität der Künste) initiated the project “Table Decoration” as part of the conference “Innovation Habitat”. The task was to create 10 concepts of table decorations for the closing dinner, to be realized in teams of 3 students. The concept should be realized with table cloth, objects of porcelain or chandeliers.

The team Amelie Hinrichsen, Raphael Guillou and Johanna Keimeyer created “The Gardener”, a scene of different meanings to inspire the phantasy and to encourage interaction of the round table.

The members of the dinner table are able to create scenes with the abstact main components of a watering pot and a gun, made of porcellain on the background of the blotted table cloth and napkins.
