The L.A. Auto Show asked car design studios in Southern California to create visions for the car racing industry in 2025.

The draft designs are being presented as part of the fifth Design Challenge of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The contenders are car manufacturers Audi, BMW, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Toyota und Volkswagen. The winners will be announced at the Auto Show on November 20, 2008.

The Design Challenge has become a staple of the L.A. Auto Show. Design Los Angeles has been around for five years, and has evolved into one of the most important networking events and discussion fora of the automotive design business. Last year, more than 500 designers attended the event.
