Mr. Franklin Cresencia

Industry: Furniture and Product Design
Position: student
Agency: Rhode Island School of Design

Frank Cresencia was born and raised in central New Jersey, where he realized and developed a passion for making things. In 2006, he enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he earned a BFA in Furniture Design. With an aesthetic that often focuses on material integration, his work attempts to draw upon the idea of connection. He questions how objects relate to the spaces they live in, and how people interact with the furniture they use. As an advocate of heirloom design, he believes in the creation of objects that will last generations.

Frank’s work has been featured in such pubications as The New York Times, and Esquire, Hong Kong. His future endeavors plan to focus on improving the quality of mass-produced objects and reducing the amount of waste sent out into the world.
