The Melting Point
The SCAD exhibitions department presents 1764 Degrees: The Melting Point, a solo exhibition by SCAD metals and jewelry professor Jay Song. The exhibition features a 10-year survey of her work with rings, necklaces and brooches subjected to the melting point. The exhibition also includes her recent explorations with paper sculptures and installation pieces that highlight jewelry’s ceremonial and ornamental function beyond alloy materials.
This project was funded through a Presidential Fellowship for Faculty Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Gallery hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Exhibition is free and open to the public.
