The 4th Concrete Design Competition seeks to receive design proposals that reflect a comprehensive investigation of any notion on MONOLITHIC; to explore and exploit the versatility of concrete in generating monolithic architectural objects, structures and systems; leading to proposals that unveil - potential - properties of concrete addressing various functions and appearances in one material. - March 31st 2010
This ideas competition is organized within the framework of the Programme for Transnational Cooperation Slovakia – Austria 2007–2013, a project that aims at finding innovative solutions for Europe to become a more socially attractive and ecologically sustainable environment. The competition is open to entrants living in the European Union and looks for unrealized ideas and designs involving waste products (re-use design) that will be presented to the public and offered to companies active in the socioeconomic field in order to be eventually implemented. - Submission Deadline: March 31, 2010

The GDC National Scholarship Awards are Canada’s preeminent educational awards, funded by Canada’s top design-related companies, and coordinated by the GDC. Since 1956 the GDC has been dedicated to improving graphic design standards and practice in the workplace and in schools. The GDC National Scholarship Awards were initiated in 2003 to encourage and support students in taking their design education to a level that will better prepare them for professional practice.
