Taiwan International Design Competition 2010
About TIDC
The Taiwan International Design Competition (TIDC) is entering its ninth consecutive year. In the nine years of its existence it has already cultivated an extensive international reputation.
In addition to encouraging more imaginative and innovative creations, it also hopes to use current trends to inspire designers to engage in more profound philosophical and humanistic reflection. This will allow designers to not just be confined to an ‘object’ itself, but to incorporate a return to life’s subtleties of life in design concepts.
For the 2010 event, we invite competition entries under the theme "Beneficence". There is no differentiation between people and no national boundaries. The most beautiful and eternal value in this world is the beneficence found in every one of us. Design innovation should appeal to the righteousness in every global citizen, and this collective beneficence manifests itself in the power of design.

Beneficent Design returns to the natural essence of life from initial design considerations to eco-friendliness. Emphasis on a humanistic affection and local cultural characteristics applied in the implementation of innovation means to love the earth and sustain life, provide the world with an abundance of technology and humanity with goodness and natural beauty.
