“Magazine of the year”:

GuteSeiten-Award is the first international award for fanzines and short-run magazines. A jury of artists, editors, publishers, art directors and zine lovers is awarding every year the “Magazine of the year”.

The jurors 2010 are:

* Florian Waldvogel, Director, Kunstverein Hamburg

* Christoph Keller, Publisher for JRP Ringier, Designer, Curator and Liquor Distiller

* Karsten Henning, Art Director, ART - Das Kunstmagazin

* Anke Feuchtenberger, Artist, Illustrator and Professor for Drawing and Illustration at the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg

Call for magazines and fanzines

There is no contribution fee and everybody can contribute – editors, designers, zine lovers. The only qualifications are:

• 1. It must be a magazine, i.e. a serial publication, published regular or irregular.
• 2. At least one issue has to be already published.
• 3. The circulation should not be over 8000 per issue.
• 4. Deadline for contribution is: 01.02.2010

Award & Exhibition

A prize will be awarded to the best “magazine of the year”. And the best entries will also be exhibited at the Kunstverein Hamburg (exhibition will be around March 2010) and included in our ZINOTHEK.
