Design for Decades Call for Entries

Design for Decades Call for Entries
From October 1 – November 12, 2010, all AIA members are invited to submit projects for the Design for Decades initiative. This initiative will feature works of all scales and types that represent the scope and quality of work being done by AIA members. Entries of all types – including small, large, commercial, residential, public, private, interiors, historic preservation, engineering, landscape and urban design projects -- will be accepted.
Design for Decades is open to all AIA members including associate, international associate and allied members.
By highlighting excellent work done by AIA architect members, the AIA promotes the value of design. It will also serve as a “snapshot in time” that can be viewed by future generations of architects.
Timeline
Deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, November 12, 2010. Projects will be featured in a virtual exhibition on the AIA website beginning in winter 2011. Selections will later be featured in an exhibit at AIA headquarters and at the AIA 2011 National Convention in New Orleans. AIA strongly encourages chapters to make suggestions for other venues where selections from the exhibition can be shown.
How to Submit
Participation in Design for Decades requires a $25, non-refundable entry fee. Eligible participants may enter up to four projects. Each project requires a separate entry fee. The entries include a two-part process: an on-line submission and a high resolution image submission which should be mailed in.
