ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

- Deadline for the Creativity 40 Media Competition is March 12, 2010.
Entry Fees are $95 per single entry, $125 per campaign entry. Students receive a $50 discount on all entry fees.

- Ad agencies, publishers, developers, graphic designers, photographers, freelance designers, illustrators, programmers, marketers, producers, directors, web designers and corporate art departments may submit entries that first appeared in media between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 (void where prohibited). Student work must have been created during the 2008-2009 school year. Instructors and professors may submit work on behalf of a student. Student work will be evaluated seperately from professional work. Anyone involved with the creation of the advertisement or design work may submit the entry.

- For Broadcast/Media entries we can accept many of the standard formats, including all those created by QuickTime, Windows Media, Real Audio, and Macromedia. File extensions include: .mov, .wav, .wmv, .wma, .avi, .asf, .mid, .aif, .mpg, .mp2, .mp3, .mpe, .m4A, .swf. All judging will be done online so all entries under 10MB each should be uploaded. Uploaded campaigns may be in separate files if over 10MB. Please attempt to compress entries as much as possible without loss of quality so they may be uploaded. Entries over 10MB should be submitted via CD/DVD. Campaigns submitted on CD/DVD should be edited together in one file with three seconds of black between each campaign piece. Computer-based formats such as Quicktime and Flash should have a maximum screen size of 1024 (h) x 768 (v). Radio commercials should be submitted as .wav or .aiff files on CD. Campaigns should be submitted as one file with at least three seconds of silence between each spot.

- For Internet/Interactive Media please submit url addresses. Judging will be done online using the url whenever possible so please ensure the link is active and does not require any username or passwords for access. If usernames/passwords are unavoidable, please include in the "url" line of the entry form. Dead or unusable links will disqualify the entry.

- By submitting work and entry fees, entrants grant Creativity International Awards the right to feature winning entries in Creativity Awards Annual Book, on the Creativity International Awards website, as well as in promotional advertisements. The entrant agrees to hold Creativity International Awards and any of its affiliated companies exempt from costs or expenses of any claim arising from any such use. Copyright infringement and/or plagiarism will result in the disqualification and removal of award(s) from any entry deemed in violation, and all entry fees will be forfeited. Creativity International Awards is not responsible for additional color correction of digital files. Creativity International Awards is not responsible for damaged, corrupted or incorrectly prepared files.

JUDGING INFO

A panel of advertising and graphic design professionals who meet deadlines and budgets on a daily basis judges the Creativity International Awards. They understand your challenges and the lengths to which you go to overcome them. Creativity International Awards makes a special effort to obtain judges representing the demographics of our competitors – judges from East Coast agencies, West Coast agencies, international agencies, freelancers, educators and creative directors have all taken part in our panels over the years.

All entrant information is removed from entries to prevent bias. Judges score on a scale of 1-10 taking into consideration creativity, design, usability, theme/idea, execution & follow-through. Consideration IS NOT given to actual results or sales generated by the entry. Entries are not judged against each other and are judged solely on their own merit. The scores are computer tabulated to prevent error and averaged to give the final score for the entry.

Student entries are judged separately from Professional entries and are scored in the same manner. Student winners are distinguished by the same award levels as Professional entries.

Judging for the 2010 Creativity Media Awards is being conducted during the week of March 21-27, 2010.
