Faces of Design TALENT Awards 2010 - Evaluation Criteria
Submissions to the Faces of Design TALENT Awards 2010 are judged based on the following criteria:
1. Profile
• Informational value: does the profile communicate clearly the candidate’s background, qualifications, areas of strength, and interests?
• Presentational value: does the profile present the candidate’s qualifications in a professional and visually attractive light? E.g. consistent formatting, spelling, punctuation; creative and appealing use of the presentation format, including the About Me section of the profile?
2.”FoD TALENT Awards Album” within the portfolio
• Informational value: does the selection of projects showcase effectively the breadth of the candidate’s skills and qualifications detailed in the profile? Is the album clearly structured (subfolders, captions, year, etc.) to be easily accessible by the panel, potential clients and/or employers?
• Quality of the design work shown.
Within your “FoD TALENT Awards album” you should really think about “quality over quantity”! If you think that 5 strong images are enough to present a project, then that is perfectly fine. Don’t include another 5 just to have the maximum of the 10 allowed images.
Please note:
To be fair to all those contestants new to Faces of Design and who only create their competition folder without creating a complete portfolio, we will not be able to include judging the entire portfolio in the competition. Candidates will be judged purely on “Profile” and “FoD TALENT Awards Album”.
