For more than a week the whole of Copenhagen will buzz with design activities and events when the first international Copenhagen Design Week is launched from the 27 August – 6 September 2009.

Design Week presents design that matters - ideas, concepts, products and services that will come to play an important role in your professional and private life.

Contemporary Light Design explores over 20 different innovative lamp designs by 18 designers and architects. On show is a fresh selection of lamp designs and light fittings created within the last five years.

The show is both an expression of curiosity and a wish to present side by side some of the world's best light design solutions from the two well-known Scandinavian design nations Finland and Denmark.
