Direktorenhaus presents the new show of 4 young textile designers: The 5th Element. New European Textile Craft. From 5th of July until the 30th of July 2011 the Direktorenhaus changes into a mazy wintergarden of knitted materials, woven textiles, organic objects and hand-stitched fabrics. The exhibition is showcasing for the first time works of Signe Emdal (Kopenhagen), Hao-Ni Tsai (London), Ruth Duff (Glasgow) and Izumi Sato (Stockholm) in Berlin.Author:Anna Schwaderer
The DMY International Design Festival Berlin will anew take place in the impressive architecture of historic city airport Berlin Tempelhof. The central exhibition showcases pioneering and foresighted works by over 500 professional designers, brands and new talents. re:publica is Europe’s most exciting and Germany’s biggest conference when it comes to blogs, social media, and our society in the digital age. From April 13 – 15 re:publica is going to take place in the heart of Berlin, with 2011 also being its 5th anniversary. The political and cultural, but most of all very zeitgeisty event has evolved from an informal blogger meetup to an essential date for media professionals.
