The exhibition “There is No Such Thing As a Good Painting About Nothing“ focuses a comparable artistic habitus finding its provenance in graffiti and street culture. It is interesting to observe, that approximately 70 years later, in the early 21st century, three artists located in different countries developed their work independently from each other as a new form of abstract expressionism. They build upon the paradigms of graffiti writing and street art but distance themselves radically from established clichés.Author:Maria Haake

Association of professional graphic designers Grafia and Finnish Association of Designers Ornamo award annually six distinguished designers. Finnish Designer Awards have been now selected for the year 2010.
The Finnish Designer Awards concept has been revamped: from this year the awards will be given in mid January. The aim of this change is to enhance the exhibition’s international tour. The walk takes place in the vibrant area of the city next to the Acropolis, leading the visitor between cult shops and hip bars to discover works by award-winning graphic designers, in one of the most inspiring neighbourhoods in Europe, where ancient Greece, West, East, yesterday and tomorrow meet. The exhibition attempts to capture a sense of the diversity of works produced by Korean artists and designers currently living in the UK.
