With more than 7,000 submissions from 60 countries, the international “red dot design award” ranks among the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. It is devided into the “red dot award: product design”, the “red dot award: communication design” and the “red dot award: design concept.” The award-winning products are put before an international public in the red dot design museum.

In spring 2008, Braun GmbH will launch of the 17th edition of the BraunPrize with the motto "Envision conscious design!"
This internationally recognised design competition is open to young industrial designers who are still studying or who have graduated within the last two years.

Electrolux launches the 6th edition of its annual design competition and will select a limited number of entries to compete in Zurich at the international finals October 8 & 9, 2008. The Internet generation comprises brand-conscious, busy young professionals between 25-35 who are independent, concerned about the environment, and whose lives are intertwined with technology and online social networks. This year’s submissions should be for 2-3 years into the future and address food storage, cooking, and/or washing.
