Graphic Design & Illustration

  • This is the second edition of Faces of Design's hugely successful interdisciplinary design competition raising the visibility of hot design talent worldwide. The competition is based on participants’ existing portfolios, and culminates in the publication of a printed volume, showcasing the 25 most promising design talents, by design discipline (e.g. graphic, fashion or interior design). This collection of profiles will be distributed to more than 1.000 key decision makers at more than 300 companies, including firms such as vitra, IKEA, the Richemont Group (including prestigious brands such as Montblanc, Cartier and Chloé), the design press, and designers’ studios such as the Campanas’ and Bouroullecs’.

  • In May 2011, the 6th Illustrative- the leading international festival for contemporary illustration and graphic arts, will take place in Berlin again. Artists from all over the world can now apply for the festival: Until October 22nd, 2010 they can submit works in order to be considered for the Swatch Young Illustrators Award. On November 5th, 2010 the nominees will be awarded in advance and invited to the “Illustrators Night”, a celebration at Direktorenhaus in Berlin.

  • The Adelaide Fringe is giving artists, designers, students and amateurs alike the chance of a lifetime to design the 2011 Fringe poster. For the first time, all design submissions will be made online and entrants are encouraged to incorporate a range of mediums such as animation, sculpture, photography, painting and computer-generated and digital imagery.

  • Cultural Association “Tapirulan”, with the sponsorship of “Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza” and “Associazione Illustratori”, is proud to announce the sixth edition of the contest for illustrators. Purpose of the competition is to select the thirty authors to be included in the exhibition «Gli illustratori di Tapirulan» (The illustrators of Tapirulan), to be held in Cremona from November 13th 2010 to January 16th 2011.
