The 1st International Motion Festival (IMF) will be organized in March 2012 in Nicosia, Cyprus by the Department of Arts of the European University Cyprus, and it will be the first of its kind both in Cyprus and the broader Mediterranean and Middle East region. It aims to bring together film-makers, video artists, computer animators, graphic designers and their audience and to familiarize the public with what has traditionally remained as the "invisible art": motion graphics.Author:Anna Schwaderer
The London International Awards 2011 is now open for entries. The LIA has established itself throughout its 26-year history as a revolutionary global leader honouring advertising, design and digital media. The red dot award: communication design 2011 is open for entries. Designers, marketing agencies and clients of the communications industry are invited to score points with their published creative works. This year, the submission categories "Event Design", "Online Communication" and "Interface Design" will be supplemented with additional subcategories. For the first time, menu navigation of digital cameras and navigation systems, particularly sophisticated online communities or outstanding outdoor posters and charity events will be evaluated separately by experts in these areas.Author:Anna Schwaderer

At present there is no internationally recognized symbol for human rights. The “Logo for Human Rights” initiative wants to change that! Logos win people over through their symbolic power, distinctiveness, clarity and universal applicability.
