Corporate & Communication Design

  • This is the third edition of Faces of Design's hugely successful interdisciplinary design competition raising the visibility of hot design talent worldwide. The competition is based on participants’ existing portfolios, and culminates in the publication of a printed volume, showcasing the 25 most promising design talents, by design discipline (e.g. graphic, fashion or interior design). This collection of profiles is distributed to over 1.500 key decision makers at more than 400 companies, design institutions, and the design press.

    On top of this, the three candidates with the most panel votes overall receive extra promotion, including special press features and personal introductions to key individuals within the industry.

  • This year, VAC/GMHC is running a competition to find a poster to promote our World AIDS Day activities. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about HIV and how it affects Victorians, and to see your work displayed around the city, on trams and online. There are also great prizes to win and the 20 shortlisted entries will be exhibited during the period of AIDS Awareness Week in the CBD.

  • The poster festival Weltformat is for the first time this year opening up for an international poster competition for students. The posters are reflections of the society that views them and for whom they are produced and hung in masses. The high requests and the interest from society are reflected in this fascinating media: its needs, its wishes and its dreams. The students are being challenged to consider the advantages and the powers of posters as an advertisement- and communication media. Posters for the poster - this must be the visual statement of the poster design.

This year’s NSS poster competition is your opportunity to showcase your creative skills and have your design included in its high profile national marketing campaign.   • Communication Arts Typography Competition celebrates the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising, plus new typeface designs, calligraphy and handlettering. Chosen by a jury of leading design professionals, the selected entries will be distributed worldwide in the Communication Arts Typography Annual. Any project printed, published or aired for the first time within the two years prior to the deadline is eligible.

  • Design can be bold, intelligent and passionate; it can be humorous, serious and confident. But most of all, it can simply be excellent - and carry an iF design award. Since 1953, iF has invited international manufacturers and designers to enter their products in the iF design awards. Design experts from all over the world come together in the iF juries to evaluate the entries: excellent design is recognized and rewarded. The iF design awards have long been a trademark feature of iF and the iF label is recognized the world over as a seal of design excellence.
