Royal Collection of seats with The Crown lamp.
The forms have been created and researched beforehand between years of 2002 and 2004 as major teem of Master degree studies at University of Art and Design Helsinki – Form to Fold – presented in may 2004 – as a book/collection regarding experiments with forms gained by folding of 2D surface to 3D objects,inspired by nature,geometry and origami mathematics.
Shown works are fully functional prototypes.
First pieces have been shown at Scandinavian Furniture fair 2005 when named by the audience – Marie
Antoinette, Elisabeth, Lucrezia Borgia, soon are followed by Tsar Lazar and Tsaritsa Milica – shown at Belgrade furniture fair 2006 and IMM Cologne Furniture fair 2006. The Crown of Light, Peter the Great and Louis XIV had their premiere at Salone Satelitte 2007.
Henry VIII was developed for the purpose of the competition in 2007.
Catherine the Great, even though one of the first ideas regarding the subject haven’t still be made in 1:1 scale, together with Frederick I Barbarossa are the last to join the family and will have premiere at Zona Tortona 2009.
The collection is under further development.
