Project: Relaxing Chair “A-Po" (1/5 Model)

"2008, I took part in a carpentry workshop, which’s purpose was to design
 furniture for the elders. And my first client definitely will be my grandmother.
 I called her “A- Po” (grandmother in Hakka, one Taiwanese dialect).
 Designing this chair, I consider all the  situations about her life.
 Like this chair mush be 100% made according to her body.
 This chair must can be fold, that we can carry it out and have her a comfortable seat.
 Last, I think no one wants to be considered an elder, so I took away all the details 
 which will remind her she is old.
 For me, how to make her comfort mentally and physically is the most important thing in my mind.”
