Andreas Bergstraesser graduated as Industrial Designer from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Directly following his graduation, he joined Neumeister Design in 1986. Since 2000 he has become the Partner along the side of Alexander Neumeister. He specialized in Transportation Design and Design for Medical and Rehabilitation Equipment.
For his diploma project he received the Braun-Award in 1986. His products have been given awards for excellent design by the Design Centers of Baden-Wüttemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and the Industry Forum Hannover. In 2002 he received the Medical Design Excellence Award in Chicago.
